Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ZapResume AI (the "Service"), operated by Sai Sanjay Golla ("we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ZapResume AI — through the web application, WhatsApp bot, or any other interface — you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ZapResume AI provides AI-powered tools to help users analyse and improve resumes relative to job descriptions. Features include ATS compatibility scoring, keyword gap analysis, resume improvement suggestions, and cover letter generation. The Service is available via a web application and a WhatsApp bot.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Use the Service to generate false, fabricated, or misleading resume content.
• Submit content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
• Attempt to overload, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Service.
• Use the Service on behalf of others without their consent.
• Circumvent usage limits (e.g. rate limits on the free tier) through automation or multiple accounts.
• Submit resumes or documents belonging to other individuals without their explicit consent.

4. No Guarantee of Employment Outcomes

ZapResume AI improves the presentation and keyword optimisation of your resume — it does not guarantee any specific employment outcome, including interviews, job offers, or callbacks. Interview and hiring decisions are made solely by employers. We make no representations about the success rate of our suggestions.

5. User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

• Reviewing all AI-generated suggestions before including them in your resume or cover letter.
• Ensuring that your final application is accurate and represents your qualifications honestly.
• Verifying that any content generated by ZapResume AI is factually correct before submitting.
• The consequences of submitting applications to employers.

Always review AI-generated output before use. AI suggestions are starting points, not final products.

6. Prohibition on Fabrication

You must not use ZapResume AI to create fabricated job titles, companies, employment dates, qualifications, skills you do not have, or any other false information. Including fabricated content in a job application may constitute fraud. We are not responsible for any consequences arising from misuse of AI-generated content.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, code, design, and branding of ZapResume AI is owned by Sai Sanjay Golla unless otherwise noted. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without prior written permission.

Content you submit (your resume, job description text) remains yours. By submitting it to the Service, you grant us a limited, temporary licence to process it for the sole purpose of providing you with the Service results.

8. Service Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, AI provider outages, or technical failures. We are not liable for any losses arising from service downtime.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ZapResume AI and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of employment opportunities.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months prior to the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ZapResume AI and its operator from any claims, losses, damages, and costs (including legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Service.

11. Third-Party Services

The Service uses third-party AI providers (OpenAI) and messaging platforms (Meta/WhatsApp). Your use of the Service is also subject to those providers' terms. We are not responsible for the actions or policies of third-party providers.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Berlin, Germany, unless mandatory consumer protection law requires otherwise.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will display the updated date at the top of this page.
